'MapleStory' is a video game developed by Nexon America. Although your Mac doesn't have the capacity to run the free 'MapleStory' game, you may want to download it anyway for later transfer to a Windows computer. 'MapleStory' does not require you to have Windows to initiate a download from Nexon America's site.

Find online an.iso for Windows 7, open Bootcamp, partition your Mac and install Windows on the partition. Boot up using Windows, install Maple, profit. This is the best way to do it. After all these years, you would think that Nexon would make MapleStory playable on Mac OS. Unfortunately, this is not the case. I have been playing Maplestory for almost 10 years, and throughout these 10 years I hadn’t figured out how to play MapleStory on a Mac – until now!
How do I play MapleStory on my Mac OS?

First off, you will need to go to Virtual Box’s website and download their latest version of the Virtual Machine and the extension pack. Under the download section, there will be an option under VirtualBox platform packages named, “OS X Hosts“(<– File Download), download and install that. Then, click on “All Supported platforms“(<– File Download) under “Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension Pack”. Keep both of these in a place you will remember, I chose the desktop.
Secondly, you will need to download the Windows 10 OS from the Microsoft Website. Once arrived at the link, click the drop down bar and select Windows 10. Hit confirm. Once confirmation is complete, select your desired language and hit confirm. Once confirmation is complete, download the 64-Bit version. If you are having errors with the windows 10 OS running through VirtualBox, try 32-Bit.
Third, install and open VirtualBox VM. Once opened, on the top left you will see a button, “New”. Select this option. We are now creating a new version of the Virtual Machine that will be Windows 10. Type in the name of your Virtual Machine, Windows 10 is a good name. Hit continue. You are now at the memory allocation page. This is where you designate how much of your Mac’s RAM will be dedicated to the Windows 10 OS. In my experience, 3000MB(3 GB) will do the trick. If you are experience lag in-game, try upping the amount of RAM. NOTE: Only up your RAM to the amount that your computer can handle. I don’t recommend allocating more than 70% of your Mac’s RAM to the Windows 10 OS. Hit continue. You will be brought to the hard disk page. select, “Create a virtual hard disk now”, and click create. The next page is about the Hard Disk file type, make sure you select VDI(Virtual Disk Image), and hit continue. Next page, select, “Dynamically Allocated”. These means that the Virtual Machine will only use space on your Mac’s physical Hard Disk. Hit continue. The next page is how much space you will be allowing your Windows 10 OS to use. 32 GB is fine for Maplestory, it depends on the application you are looking to run. Click create.
Fourth, once your VirtualMachine is created, we want to apply Windows 10 to it. To do this, click on your desired VitualMachine and click “settings” in the top left of the VirtualBox window. Next, click “storage”. Inside of the storage tree box, on the bottom will be an ISO disk that says, “Empty”, select this, then on the right outside of the box click on the other ISO disk. Select the option that says, “Choose Virtual Optical Disk File”. Here is where you will select the Windows 10 OS that we downloaded from the Windows 10 website earlier. Once you have it located, double click it. This will bind the Windows 10 OS to the VirtualMachine you created. Click ok.
Finally, click on the VirtualMachine you created, click “Run” on the top of the VirtualBox window, and boom! Your version of Windows 10 on a Mac. Once you go through the installation process of the Windows 10 OS, you will be brought to your Windows 10 desktop. Open up Microsoft edge, download and install Maplestory, and there you have it!
IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING “Sorry this application cannot run under a virtual machine” ERROR, FOLLOW THESE STEPS:

1. While on VirtualBox Windows 10 desktop, click on the windows button, and search “run” to open run window.
2. Type into the box, “regedit” hit enter
3. Open the folder “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > HARDWARE > DESCRIPTION > System”
4. On the bottom on the list, you will see a VGA file named, “VideoBiosVersion”. Double click it.
5. You will see characters highlighted inside of the box. delete EVERYTHING inside of this box. Close out of everything once this is done.

6. Open Maplestory and enjoy!! NOTE: YOU MUST DO THIS EVERY TIME YOU LOG INTO YOUR VIRTUAL BOX WINDOWS 10 SYSTEM.
