So, I'm aware that this is a brand new product an there will be little experience with it but Microsoft have been a bit shoddy here.
Office 2019 for Mac is designed from the ground up to take advantage of the latest Mac features, including Retina display, full screen view support, and even scroll bounce. Beginning with the release of Microsoft Office 2019, OneNote for Windows 10 will be the default OneNote experience for Office 365 and Office 2019 customers. Learn more about this announcement, and continue reading below for more details about what this means for you.
I have had a look here, (https://support.office.com/en-us/article/download-and-install-or-reinstall-office-365-or-office-2019-on-a-pc-or-mac-4414eaaf-0478-48be-9c42-23adc4716658), but there is insufficient info on what to expect before you click the button.
So, my situation is that I'm currently running a perfectly working version of Office 2016 that I will transfer to another Mac as soon as this one is installed, (it's on a .pkg so no problems there).
I purchased Office 19 from eBuyer, (weird as it says medialess but I'm still waiting on the post - maybe it's a license key they are shipping on a bit of card).
So after signing in to my Microsoft account, and once I click 'install', what happens?
Should have uninstalled 2016 first, (as per this link https://support.office.com/en-us/article/uninstall-office-for-mac-eefa1199-5b58-43af-8a3d-b73dc1a8cae3?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US)?
Do I have to do something to de-activate the 2016 license before using it on my other Mac?
Do the 2016 apps sit in my Applications folder along with the 2019 versions, if so how do I tell the difference?
Does is replace the 2016?
Yes it may all go smoothly, but this stuff needs to be known BEFORE upgrading.
Does anybody now the answers please?
Thanks.
